10.   Barriers to Entry (what prevents others using your idea); eg - patent, exclusive contracts with key users or suppliers
11.   Business Model (How much you charge, who pays, and what it costs to provide product/service)
12.   Management Team and Relevant Experiences
13.   Amount of Capital Needed to Launch Business
14.   Connecticut University Affiliation
15.   Name of University Adviser for Business Plan

Finals (Oral Presentations) Judging Criteria:


1.   PRODUCT or SERVICE: Do you know what it is and what it does? Is there a compelling value proposition or problem solution for customer?
2.   COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS: How does it compare to alternatives?
3.   MARKET SIZE: Large enough? Was market claim convincing?
4.   SALES PLAN: Is it realistic, adequate to meet projections?
5.   BUSINESS MODEL: Can you tell how the company will make money? Are margins comfortable?
6.   MANAGEMENT: Professionalism of presentation: Knowledgeable, convincing, polished speaker
7.   FUNDING: Were capital needs clear? Realistic for stage? Do you know how capital will be used? How it will create success?
